  1. I find it interesting that as life goes on and we reflect back on our past, the good memories are the ones that often remain prevalent in our minds. I like to recall the good teachers I have had the privilege and honor of knowing as I work with my students. Some ways that I show my students how I care for them is that I try to make sure I have a one-on-one conversation with that child at some point in the day. The conversation could be about a personal subject, an academic topic and can last for a few seconds to a full couple of minutes. The main thing is to try and make a personal connection and show each and every student that as an individual they are important to me.

    1. Hi,
I agree it is the good teachers that really shape our teaching practice. I like that you take the time to acknowledge all of the students in your classroom! I agree making that emotional connection is so vital in student achievement. Although this approach is much more complex at the middle and high school it is vital as students often go from class to class and have several classroom teachers
